So, I did my due diligence and used search first but only got part of the story. I am looking for a 30 pin bluetooth adapter for my wife's machine. I can find a bunch of them on Amazon but I read where most won't allow you to use the handlebar radio controls to go through the iphone's menus and pick songs on the Spyder's screen. I guess they only allow volume control. However, I saw a couple of posts that said there were more expensive digital docks that would allow full control like when your phone is physically plugged in, but I don't know what to look for. Can someone post an Amazon link to what I need? Thanks in advance!!!

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What spyder do you have , if you have RT and back of your trunk have plug in you may use the cable adaptor come with spyder 30 pin to use with iphone or ipod touch , you can get that adaptor at ebay .only the cable you can control ,I try the bluetooth but not work at pick the song ,voluum only .
It's a 2011 RT-S SE as listed in my sig. I forget that some use forums apps or a mobile browser that might not show my sig line so I should have posted more detail. I have an iphone 6 so the cable won't work. I need a 30 pin to bluetooth adapter. I could just use a lightning to 30 pin but would rather have the phone out of the trunk. I know others have found a more expensive digital bluetooth adapter that allows for control through the Spyder but they never posted what model they had.

I bought bluetooth so I can use my iphone5 but i can listen the music and control the voluum , could not control the song ,if I want to change the song only throught the iphone, easy way I bought ipod touch and keep in trunk with my wifi hot spot and 3000 song in ipod touch ,I happy with system for now,I don't know you can find the bluetooth can control the song to connect to radio on spyder

If you want to maintain full playlist control etc. to music you buy the APPLE ADAPTER!
Only one guaranteed to work.
I don't get why folks spend thousands on a bike hundreds on after market gizmos and then want to cheap out on the small stuff.

WRONG AJ, what I said is I could do that but wanted a digital bluetooth adapter so I didn't need a hard wired connection. I am willing to spend far more than the the $35 for the APPLE ADAPTER to have this function wireless. Thanks for not helping and making a lot of incorrect assumptions though.... :thumbup:

I searched pretty thoroughly and found a few posts where people tried a certain BT adapter and found it didn't have full functionality. Tyen they said where they called the manufacturer or did some research and found where a more expensive unit would accomplish what we are after. Buuuuuttttt, they never posted what that more expensive fancy dancy unit was? I gave up and just bought the cable for $35 on Amazon. I thought it was easy and someone would just tell me what to order but since I got no replies, I'm guessing the solution is rare and most have not found or bothered with it.
