iPad issue on forum

Yesterday I logged on from my iPad which I often do. And this blue box pops up in the middle of the screen.
It says:
"http:SpyderLovers.com
This forum has an app for iPad. Click OK to learn about Tapatalk"
The "Cancel or OK" box is below.

Ive never seen this before, and I tap cancell, as this forum works just fine without an app.
But every time I change screens, this darn box pops up again, every time, (and I mean every single time you change to a new screen in this forums only) and I have to cancel befor it will proceed.

so I try choosing the OK box. It's some app that is $2.99 and assures better forum use stuff. I don't need that or want that.

I like this forum just the way it is, without using a silly app. ( Kudos to Lamonster ).

Any idea how to get rid of this pop up. I tried looking in settings, but I have not been successful and stomping this very irritating pop up out.
Anyone else experience this?

Yep, seems like I cleaned up cookies, as some were bothersome. I do that from time to time, and yikes...here came Tapatalk.
I'll have our IT guy look at it today.

The app can't replace the site for some things, but it sure makes simply browsing the forums much easier on an iPad.

FYI -- the TapaTalk app is fantastic.... I use it on iphone and ipad all the time... love it.

actually, the newest version can do everything.. it has a 'open browser' window within it that allows the full site view....

Tapatalk is a Great App

First, you are correct. It is annoying that you are not given an option to avoid the repeated requests.

Secondly, I own 2 motorcycles, 2 cars, a boat, jet ski, etc. Just like being a member of Spyderlovers, I am often a member of other member based FORUMS that give me the opportunity hear other people (like myself) exchange ideas, share successes (and failures), etc.

Forums that are Tapatalk compatible are great. We have 2 IPADS and 1 Itouch. I purchase once and share on all my devices.

Yes, it sucks the annoying messages you receive.

A question I have is this: Does Spyderlovers receive some "commission" or "advantage" if people purchase Tapatalk by linking to the APP from the FORUM? I know there are other websites that benefit from a sale if they link a product and/or service and a sale of the product and/or service is consummated. If so, it might be possible for Spyderlovers to limit the number of times you see this message. Just a thought.

If by chance, Spyderlovers does benefit from linking people to the APP, I have no problem with that since I want to support Spyderlovers.

Tapatalk conforms what you see to your particular portable device and is a wonderful way to browse the FORUM. I am just sorry you are annoyed by the constant messaging to buy.

Do You Have the Latest Version

I've been using my IPad for a couple years now and have tried tapatalk a couple times , just yesterday I tried it again and everything is too small and can't figure out how to make the sites full screen .

I assume you keep your APPs up-todate? I have only had for a few months, but it looks great on both my Itouch (small screen) and IPAD (large screen).

My one thought is that you downloaded so long ago, that the APP was not designed for both the Iphone/Itouch and Ipad. Iphone/Itouch apps normally can be increased in screen size by clicking on the 1x that appear in the lower right hand part of the screen on your Ipad.

Now many APPs detect the device and make all the necessary adjustments to display properly on that particular device.

In other cases, some APPs that are designed for a specific device won't work at all or work poorly on another device. Many APPS are particular to the Iphone/Itouch and the IPAD and ARE NOT interchangeable. Instead, the APP developer often will have a different version for each.

I guess the short version of what I said is "DO YOU HAVE THE LATEST VERSION OF TAPATALK?" Once purchased, UPDATES are free.

On my devices --- EVERYTHING IS GREAT!

Agree. There is one app for the iPhone and a different one for the iPad. My iPad app is wonderful and the text is plenty big! See pic.

I have the HD version 1.2

Just looks complicated , take some time to get used to .

To load pictures I usually switch to my laptop , so I think tapatalk I can do it from here .
