• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello!

It's great to be here! I'm from Toronto and have been looking to purchase a Spyder for quite some time now. (Been a 2 wheeled guy for a few years) I'd like to thank you all for the plethoria of information you've provided me with via the posts on this board. Great information!

LOL, via the registration process (Which I attempted like 10 times :< ) I kept on entering "3" as the answer to "How many wheels does a Spyder have".. lamonsterv was kind enough to remind me that there is also the word "Three".. lol..... :opps:

It's a pleasure being here and I look to further my Spyder intel as I read more and more..

Hi Derek. I am just a couple of hours down the road from you in London. Bought my Spyder in October '08, almost exactly one year after doing my first test rides. I was also a two-wheeled enthusiast for a long time, but I haven't regretted my move to the Spyder for one second. As one of the motorcycle magazine reviews said, "These things are a hoot!"

Cheers,

Bruce

welcome Hi Derek Fastfraser up here in Orangville. Work in the city ,Toronto Fire ,ride my :spyder2: back and forth all the time. What a rush. Man you got to get one of these things. And the wife loves it ,can't keep her off it. Shop around and don't be afraid to dicker with these guys. I was at 4 dealers before i got my 2009 SE5 Phantom saved about $2,700.00 of list. Best deal at Uxbridge Motorsports or ST.Onge Recreation in Barrie where i got mine. Both have great service depts. If you get a :spyder2: get the B.E.S.T. warranty it gives you bumper to bumper 5 years with road side assistance about $1,100.00 but well worth it.

+1 on Uxbridge, Derek. That is where I purchased my Spyder and have had all servicing done on it. Great guys and excellent customer service.
Your wedding registry idea is not bad at all! There are a lot of Spyder accessories you could score - Caliber jacket and pants, gloves, hard bags, etc., etc.:D

Hey FastFraser; do you know Christopher Morgan? I forget which hall he works at (He's my Brother in Law). Also a FireFighter.

We'll for sure check out both those dealers!

Thx

Derek

welcome

Just so you know, I'm the cool one, Lamonster is the father figure, Firefly is the brainy one, dltang and BJT are the enduring couple, and HDXBones is the villain. We still need a zainy sidekick though so feel free. :roflblack:

Just kidding. Welcome!
