There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Intersection pet peeve

This doesn't just relate to the tri wheeler but an issue with the pre-tri rides. When I am at an intersection(traffic light) that if I were in a car would give me a lane and a half, I hate to have cars pull up alongside
of me just because they can. More details? I am going straight through an intersection but a car will "squeeze" alongside of me on the right to get the "turn on red jump". If I were in a car they would respect the
lack of space in the lane next to me and if I were to decide I wanted to go right I could. Had a driver all smiles yesterday do this and I just shook my head. I think I have seen two wheel Harleys mount a crop on the
bike to reach out and touch drivers...definitely not a preferred method(really, lol). I guess the morale to the story is if you give them the space they will take it...so sit to right of center? Thoughts?

Whenever I'm in the right lane and going straight, I always scoot over to the left a bit to give cars room to turn on red. It's just a courtesy to others on the road. I don't understand why it would bother you when a car utilizes the space to keep traffic moving.

Intersection on my side has one lane but being on a bike or trike gives "enough" space for a car. Were I in a car they could not fit. Should they because I am on a bike/trike?
I probably didn't describe it well enough...not enough of the coffee...

Depends....

Being from a state that allows lane splitting , you know how annoying that is to cages me included, I usually give them room to turn if possible. I do agree they should not squeeze in forcing you to move if you did not move over.

If I can give the cagers some extra room, I allow it.

EDIT: Clarification. I am meaning at an intersection waiting for the red light--and there are those that would like to make a right turn on red.

own the lane more if you don't like people squeezing through risking clipping you. I also ride a modified 50cc scooter and can squeeze through almost anywhere, which really pisses people off, lol. I know what you mean though even if your in a car or Sypder and a person "thinks" they can squeeze by they will try it. I just look at them like they are stupid.

If a right turn on red is legal, I allow them room. If not, I will defend my space by taking a more central position in my lane.

Shoulder turn.....

I believe turning from the shoulder here in Pennsylvania is illegal. So if it is a single lane & someone was to sneak up on the right to turn, they are breaking the law. But if there isn't any cops around nothing is going to be done about it. Just hope they don't clip anyone doing it.

When I was on a bike I had a guy stop with his front wheel on my foot while trying to squeeze alongside me on curb side of a single lane at a set of red lights. He actually had to also mount the sidewalk to do it - then ignored my shouting, pointing etc. When the light went green he pulled directly across the front of me missing the front wheel by a hair (obviously I couldn't move until he had) and then sat waiting to turn across the oncoming traffic. Responded using dispatch rider revenge - going up the inside and punching off the side mirror.

If he was that close; why not just push him over? :dontknow:

He was in a car, a BMW to be precise. The front wing of the car was brushed up against my leg and the front wheel was on my foot.

I was sat it the middle of the lane which is why he had to mount the curb on the other side to do what he did.

:D I assumed that it was a motorcycle, when there was no mention of a broken foot... :D
That would have made me mad enough, to even tip over the car! :gaah:

I used to wear army surplus riot boots back then (mainly for their cheapness) - A 18 wheeler could have ridden over those and I wouldn't have felt it. The main problem was having my foot pinned to the ground until he moved which limited my options.:-)

I live in Connecticut and we have right turn on red. I have been at a red light (my lane is right or straight ahead)and have had someone pull up on my left ( lane is left hand only)and pull a right turn in front of me. It about gave me a heart attack.

It bothers me cause if you give someone enough room they could take it. Some vehicles have a nasty tail swing. Getting hit by a tail swing could cause severe harm and damage.
Don't give someone the chance to cause harm.
