I am in Michigan and insurance is very expensive here. I found that Marc Fischer, who offers insurance in many states is very helpful. He know the Spyder and he knows what company to use in what states for the best rates. You can reach him at Fischer Insurance 1-877-537-2555. Here is a sample of the rates I got for the Flint area in Michigan.
These are the limits I am getting for the price:
Bodily Injury 100,000/300,000
uninsured/underinsured 50,000/100,000
$500 deductible for collision
$500 deductible for comprehensive
This price includes the MI MCCA fee as well $535.00 per Spyder for a year's coverage. If we drop the uninsured motorist it would go down to $445.00 per Spyder per year.
These rates are excellent compared to other prices I was getting almost twice as much. I know Marc has helped many Spyder owners in many states. I hope this helps someone else.
