• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Installing a switch

I am wanting to install a switch for led lighting in the spare spot with the other 4 switches.
My question is will that spare blank cover come off without removing the entire cluster.

Thanks all,
Butch

Yes you can pry it up and pop it out.
But to get the wiring and what not run it is helpful to remove the glove box. It's not that hard to do.

WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Just do what all electricians do instead of tearing down the walls in your home they fish the wires in....you can do the same .....I've done it on my RT........Go slow, if you hit an obstruction .......jiggle it :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:.....Mike :bbq:

It appears that all that was required was drilling a hole in the center section (apart from the wiring). Is that correct?

Not so much drilling a hole as enlarging the small round hole that's there to a rectangle the correct size to allow the new switch to "snap" in and stay. I used an xacto type knife and just took my time.
