• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Installed Web Boards on my 2012 RS-S - Updated with first ryde thoughts!!

I was impressed by how quickly they came and was genuinely happy with the initial quality as well. Heavy duty, quality materials, and a great line-x style finish. The logo panel is a tad tacky but you cant fault a brand for wanting some recognition. I would have paid more to have that removed and maybe the aluminum "peg" anodized black - but that's just me being picky. What isnt me being picky was installation. The instructions tell you to remove a bolt on both sides and re-use it to attach the front support - well my 2012 RSS had a hole on both sides in the correct spot but no bolt (and one hole is pretty much obstructed. I remedied with some bolts/lock nuts I had on hand. Also, the screws for the front bracket were pre-assembled and loose - but in an attempt to tighten the nylon nuts the allen head bolts all stripped easily. I will dremel them off and replace with a torx head of higher quality most likely.

Minor snags aside - they look and ride amazing for me. I have a size 11.5 foot and there is plenty of room - though it is tighter on the left side due to the splash guard coming back a tad further. Took a few minutes to adjust to braking with my heel basically - which seemed to be the easiest choice if like me you intend to use the floorboard piece full time. The design does enable you to keep the standard foot placement as you would on a peg as well - so in curves or for a change of position you can put them up there. Setting the parking brake - for me at least - seems impossible while siting on the bike so I may need to figure a solution there.

Not the cheapest option out there - but I feel like I definitely got my money's worth when looking at other options.

 So Sunday I rode the Spyder for my weekly #onedayroadtrip and wow did these boards make a huge difference. I covered 395 miles - mostly 2 lane state roads. Indianapolis-Elwood-Tipton-Kokomo-Logansport-Winimac-Bass Lake-Culver-North Judson-Knox-Laporte-Michigan City-Plymouth-Warsaw-Wabash-Noblesville-Indianapolis. About 8 hours in the saddle and I could have gone 8 more. The Spyder, however, almost gave up on me at the farthest point north with a dreaded check engine - I am guessing do to heat as it was very hot outside and I was running in almost idle traffic for about 10 minutes. A quick cool down and the light was off and I was trouble free all the way home.

Right now I have switched back to the stock RS-S windshield and have no other comfort mods besides these boards and it was splendid. You can keep your foot in the stock "peg" position, or slid down with a toe-supported on the board and heel on the "peg" or with your whole foot on the board section. VERY impressed. Changes my entire ride quality.

Not just the best mod I have done on my Spyder - probably a top 5 mod among any mod on all the motorcycles I have owned!

like the look. I tried a set like them on my 12 rt & couldn't stand the foot vibration generated in the boards and tried everything to eliminate it. went back to stock

Similar to Mine

I actually made my own floorboards and it looks like they made theirs similar to mine except I didn't try to make them look "fancy". Mine are really solid and there's no vibration at all. I couldn't find any after-market floorboards that looked OEM so I took a stab at making my own and I'm really happy with the results.

I have had my eye on those boards as well, been waiting to see if they go on sale. However I was hoping they were more install friendly and its good to know that they have the adverertizement stamped on. Never felt that was approperate. Why should you advertized someones product for free!!!!

Looking good...

Those really add to the overall look and appearance of your fine bike, also bringing a more complete feel to the design...
Oh yes, BRP could have gone a few steps further, thankfully the aftermarket folks get it.

Wonderful mod you have done. Should be proud.

Chas

Web boards will be at SpyderQuest and they normally run rally specials - might want to inquire if they plan to.
