• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

:welcome:The manual recommends running on high beams during the day.

Your low/high beam lamps and light assemblies in Europe are different than our here in the US. You should get some input from another European rider or a friendly dealer who will venture outside the BRP parts fiche. :welcome:

Low beam= daytime running lights= fog lights in US: permanent.
High beam= high beam US: switch on left handlebar.

MAYBE NOT SO I WAS CLEAR TO U.S. THAT THE MODEL OF LIGHT is different from Europe, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY I HAVE INTENTION TO ASSEMBLE THE HID KIT

:welcome: Not sure of your question ,but I found that the HIDs I installed on my 2009 RS made a world of difference .

Great to have another International Spyder Lover on the forum.

Be sure to get a well made HID lighting kit or you will have MAJOR issues with your Spyder. Poorly made HID kits will interfear with your ECM (Computer). I put a cheap kit on my RS and it got to where it would not start. Pulled the headlight relay and my Spyder started and ran fine.

I put a 4300k Xtreme Motorcyle Xenon kit from KB Car Stuff (a Spyderlovers Sponsor) on my Spyder and I higly recommend it. The USA RS Spyder takes the H7 bulb set, but I am not sure what your European Spyder takes. These guys have all the bulb sets so you should be able to find a kit that will work for you.

You can see them here

In Europe, they use a separate low beam down on the Spyder body. This location has air intakes in the US, unless foglights are fitted. In Europe, the high beams are located on the console, where the US headlights are located. The European lights switch from location to location for the high/low beams. The US lights just use the upper light assemblies, and cover the upper portion of the lens with a shutter for low beams.

As you can see from the part numbers, everything is different. There is probably an HID retrofit available for your European machine, but you will have to pull a lamp and get the designation or match it up, unless you can get some the right lamp ID from another European rider. If you use a plug-n-play HID kit, you may have issues with the connectors, as the European machines use different wires in the same harness and switch from high to low differently. Also check your local regulations, as some jurisdictions may not permit the use of the brighter HIDs on low beams.
