Increase Weight Capacity

I would like to improve the ride when riding double and pulling a trailer. Is there any way to beef up just the rear suspension ?

I trust you already have the rear shock helper spring adjusted all the way up...

You could look at the better Elka rear unit which has a hydraulic preload as well but not a cheap fix.

I'm sorry to say I don't know who makes it, but if you do a search on the forum, I think you will find you could get an air shock for the back. I ride two up with a trailer and still have one more shock setting I could go up if I wanted. I have about 400 lbs of people on board if you count their gear. I have the trunk full and I have had the trailer and load come to about another 400 lbs. I have had no problem with the rear suspension being lacking. I only have about 9K miles so far and I am sure as the mileage gets higher I may have to go to that last shock setting. I am not taking it easy either, normal spirited ryding.
