• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lately it seems Pyder has been creeping forward at a stop more than I have seen previously. Roadster is a 2011 SE with a out 64 k miles. Is there an adjustment I've missed? Maybe just a matter of perception..seems like it takes more brake to sit still and shudders like let's go already. What say you all?

Not familiar....

with the SE but it seems you have an oil related problem (old oil, low oil, wrong oil) or a clutch related problem...start with the oil....

Like Jerbear said, check your idle RPM and throttle spring

Although we had a 2011 SM5 I remember the throttle hanging up a little and not letting the throttle to spring back to the 1300 RPM set point. I just pulled the end cap and sprayed a little silicone spray inside the right grip and it was working well when we traded up at 76 K.

You should be idling around 1400 RPM. At that RPM the Spyder should not be creeping, even without the brake applied. The SE5 clutch has two engaging mechanisms. The first is centrifugal, controlled by RPM. The second is by spring pressure that is released by hydraulic pressure. If you are creeping at idle speed, there is a problem with the centrifugal portion of the clutch.

:agree: & got to ask is the creeping at all stops or just after getting past a certain gear
(like 3rd& above)& downshifting? :dontknow: Also do you downshift or let it happen? Notice anything on steep hills? Few things to troubleshoot & ask a certified tech.

Creeps at all stops, regardless of what gear, whether I downshift or the Roadster does. Aside from oil related, springs in centrifugal part of clutch going weak? Hmmm.

A 2011 with 64k miles, have you thoroughly checked your brakes?

That's great... but we can't help you, if you don't let us know what rpm your bike is idling at... :banghead:

I check my brakes every time I stop . Haven't noticed any change in idle,I'll look shortly.
