• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After a few months at lovely Ft. Benning, GA, I'm finally back in KC. I finished Officer Candidate School (OCS) and am getting ready to start the next phase of my Army career as a Transportation Corps Officer in the Army Reserve. I'm sure it will be an exciting change coming from active duty, and transitioning from the NCO ranks to a Commissioned Officer.

Now to the good stuff... I've had an opportunity to get the DPS recall done, changed my oil with a filter and O-Ring/Washer kit from Baja Ron. I also replaced my battery with an Odyssey and ordered a set of floorboards from SFB today, so I'm pretty excited. I'm ready for the rain to stop so I can get to riding.

Hope to see you other KC area riders out on the road! Be safe.

Congratulations on your commissioning. :2thumbs:

Here's some advice that served me well when I was appointed to Warrant Officer:

Never pass up an opportunity to shut the **** up.
Never do when you can delegate.
Stay out of "NCO business."

:D

Thanks everyone for the kind words. And to GIJoe, thanks for the advice. I intend to use my mouth less than my ears.

Let me know when you come to Fort Hunter Liggett for training. PacWarrior, Warex, CSTX etc.
I will be the one issuing the equipment from the ECS.
