• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Nan was approached 2 days ago about adopting a rescue cat. 2 Maine Coon Cats, one about 3 yrs. old, the other about 5 yrs. old, were found huddled up crying on a person's porch a few nights ago in well below 0 temp. They took them in and called the rescue group. We went to look at them last night. One weighs 5#, the other 7#. No claws on either. Amazing they were still alive. Today I am turning the spare room into a cat house for them. I don't think they will be able to put up with our dogs for a while as they are too weak. We will be bringing them home Sat. morning & they, both, will live out their life's here with us. Sure would like to know who threw them out!!

Bless you Bob. All four of ours are rescues. One I got from a woman who was going to throw him out on the side of the road because the pet shop wouldn't buy him. That's all I'm going to say on the subject of abused animals.

Abuse of animals, kids and living things in general...

TOTALLY PISSES ME OFF AND I HAVE NO PROBLEM going to battle for them.

Thank you so much for taking on some new family. One of my friends is also a Maine Coon. He has a real personality and I am glad he chose to adopt me.

Glad the rescue took place before anything bad happened to the cats. My latest acquisition (the Princess) did not fair so well. She is missing half her back legs, no tail, and the tops of her ears all had to be amputated from freezing. She is a little worse for wear, but is the sweetest cat you will ever meet. Both the boys just adore her.

I am glad that there are people like you willing to open their homes to some of these furry friends who quickly become family. Way to go sir. :firstplace:

Thanks to all that treat animals well, and to all that can and do rescue creatures in need of help. We are picking both up tonight. I will post pic's of both. Then when they recover I will post before & after pic's to show what a little help for them, any animal, will do.

There's All Kinds -- This Will REALLY MAKE YOU MAD

Bless you for taking these animals into your home and heart. The following comes from SpyderAnn, and I agree ... it's the worst I've ever seen. Makes me cry to think someone can be so heartless and cruel .... the owner of the animals in this story (link) should be left to the same treatment. Left to starve and freeze to death in the cold! What a :cus::cus::cus::cus::cus::cus:!!!!!!

Sadly, Elsa ... the horse in the above link died 10 days after being rescued. So sad ... especially since it should NEVER HAPPEN!

All the best .... Ann

This being a family friendly website I will not post what I think should happen to pos's (male or female) that do something like that to any animal! But the process starts with them hooked up to a stimulant and a rusty knife!!!:doorag: Let your imagination go from there!

We, Nan & I, having ridden horses all our lives & owned horses ourselves totally agree and then some.

Took pic's of the new rescue cats last night. Decided not to put their pic's on here or anyplace else online. Hoping 1 of the 2 makes it, not sure yet. The other one is in much better condition & we are pretty sure it will be okay.
