• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ideas on mirror extensions

Here's what I did, requires a little fabrication however they work great. Even used Can Am mirrors.

Save up your money and go for broke. The ESI/Custom Dynamics "Up & Out" mirror extensions are hard to beat. JMHO

Looked at both types.....I have the KM type that just go straight out. Fit and finish could have been better. I drilled and tapped an M6 button head bolt on the bottom that keeps the mirror from rotating. They do the job I guess....Aestheticly both types of extensions leave a lot to be desired....:sour:

Mo Lee, would love to see some better pics and hear some additional info on your setup.

Online...!!

Search for them on E-bay, Amazon, or google them. Thats where I got mine and somewhat cheaper.

Thanks BRP - not. Another factory-fitted poor feature.
Not necessarily so. They work just fine for some people, while various extensions do not work for others. Nancy's GS mirrors worked fine for her but poorly for me, until she got her handlebar risers. Then they worked poorly for her, but a bit better for me. Everyone is constructed differently, and this location was unfortunately a bit hit and miss, but it is sure not a reason to berate BRP any more than the fact that some seats work for one person but not another, or some windshields do the same. Different strokes for different folks.

The up and outs look great. I called Custom Dynamics and was told they won't work with the BRP Ultra Touring Windshield due to the molded handguards on the windshield. When I bought a madstad windshield, I also ordered the madstad handguards, which only work with the Kewlmetal extensions. So, if you are thinking about the touring windshield or madstad handguards, the up and outs won't work with either.
