There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Can somebody help me....I need to purchase the rear shock for 2012 RT Limited, I need a place to purchase the rear shock, model number, and name brand....any recommendations greatly appreciated

Just out of curiosity why do you need a new shock and what are you hoping to accomplish? How many miles are on your RT?

Back shock lost all fluid out of it

Back shock lost all fluid out of it, I have a 2012 Limited RT, and I just have 22,000 miles....this is just my winter bike....I do not ride it very much, I prefer my 2015 Honda Goldwing 40 year Anniversary, the Wing is not triked out yet....I ride all year all winter....LOL

From looking at the parts list it appears that BRP sells the shock and spring only as a complete assembly as the shock itself by part number is listed as not available. I'll bet a lawyer had something to do with that. You know, BRP not wanting to get sued because some shade tree mechanic injures himself trying to separate the spring from the shock assembly.

You have winter in Houston?

Dealer said mine failed too around same mileage just out of warranty so i ordered one from Robs in Wisconsin but didn't come with spring after going to 2 bike suspension shops they couldn't get the spring off took it back to dealer diagnosed it to swap spring old shock still had pressure it was brake fluid on it presumably from reservoir maybe the caps nobody can find the leak 42k now tried aligning the caps as has been mentioned here still having to ad fluid. Paint was are up on spring and shock but cartridge still pressurized. If it is the ABS doubt it would be leaking on the shock so thats a relief but new unit looks just like old one wet again scratching head cant see exactly where fluids coming from

Read on another thread here springs are inadequate for the GVWR so if i ever replace it again hope to find a beefier spring
