• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I love my new Lamonster LED fog lights but I have a question.

Hi all!

I received my order of fog lights last week and finally had time to install them today. Installation was easy and the parts look to be well made. The lights look bright in daylight, I can only imagine how bright they are at night!

My question is, the big plastic panel, once reinstalled without the original fog light plastic plug, leaves quite a gap around the fog light. Am I supposed to drill the right size hole in the plug and reinstall it? And would it cause any issues with cooling of the fog lights? (I know LEDs themselves don't heat up but their drivers do; I don't want to melt or burn anything).

I highly doubt that you would be able to cut the oe caps without breaking them. They are not made of high quality plastic.

We bought the BRP "heat shields" to go around my wife's fog lights. They are pretty cheap. Only $11 each at the dealer. If Lamont's fog lights are bigger than 2.5" then you are out of luck, though.

They cut quite easily without breaking, actually-the plastic is extremely soft and gooey and the 78 degree weather helped with it not becoming brittle. See pics to see the difference. (I cut a hole with a regular 2" hole saw; don't mind the dirt and the frayed edge, that will all be cleaned up). My concern is that the lights might run warmer than they should if there is no airflow around them; I want to make sure this doesn't damage them in the long run. I like the look with the cover more than without (it looks more factory to me). So I'd rather have it than not, IF it doesn't cause issues with the lights. Lamont, could you please chime in on that? You know best!
