• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

well yesterday i went to pick up the part i had painted for the bike, the vertika lower vent i lost on my first ride of the season. it was a beautiful day out and i was riding with my face shield up and my windshield down because i was enjoying the wind in my face. we did about 95 miles and when i got home i put the vent on the bike than cleaned up the house a lil. well last night and this morning i feel like i have fought a 10 round fight with mike tyson. i will be 63 in july and after working construction for over 35 years by body is shot and i hate getting old, but i guess it beats being dead

Still standing..!!

got a few years on you and can tell you if you slow down it catches up to you. Back surger and nerve damage to the leg slowed me down and I get tired really fast now. So now when lounging I swing around a couple of 8lb weights to help. Its a bandaid but helps me think I'm active..then I go for a ride and forget who what and where I am...gotta love the open road on a roadster...:ohyea::ohyea:

I had the same problem, then I started an exercise routine. I power walk four miles every morning and Ryde every afternoon. I feel lots better after doing this for a year.

My wife doesn't like it, but I always joke that I am half dead. Of course the grandparents are making it or did make it into their 90's and still going so I'm not really quite half way yet.

I try to exercise 6 days per week, 2 of those being strength training. It has really helped how I feel.

Read "Younger Next Year"

If it don't hurt it don't work.

As we get older here are some words to live by:

1. Never trust and email from any African country asking you to send them money so they can send you even more money.

2. Never ever trust a fart.

My grandpa died when he fell from a horse--age 89
my other grandpa got shot in his general store--age 72
my dad died when he decided to stop eating--age 101

me: I thought I went to heaven when I bought my spyder....but since I didn't I have to work hard to stay healthy.

I figure that each day that my enemies don't get to pee on my grave...

..is a VERY good day!
Focus on what you CAN do; rather than what you can't! :2thumbs:

I out ran old agel, medical problem, 28 year military career, and "memories/reminders of Viet Nam. After 78 years it is catching up, but at least, I can still ride, take part in the PGR and the ground hogs are not delieverying my mail.

Excellent advice for those of us that can; doing both strength and cardio training. In cuznjohn's case that may not be possible.

I've downloaded Younger Next Year; I just have gotten around to reading it yet. Another good book, if your into strength and cardio training is Take Charge (Fitness at the Edge of Science).
