• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I got my call - sorta!

I've been lurking and living vicariously through all your posts, pictures, etc. while waiting for mine. It's been twelve weeks since I ordered my ryde but looks like the wait's almost over. I got the call this evening (could it be because I've been calling them at least once a week for the last six weeks?) that I have a VIN # and it shipped today! :2excited: I've literally dreamed of riding it so many times that I feel like I should be an experienced Spydie person by now! I'm sure it'll take some getting used to, tho, since I've been a two-wheeler for thousands of miles but I'm looking forward to adding three-wheelin' as an option.

welcome to the family

welcome:congrats: Well I'd say if it's on a truck shipping - you'll be getting it this week - mid week next week at the latest. Very cool! You're gonna love it :2thumbs:

Close is relative

Congrats and welcome to an elite family. How close to Belleville are you?

I'm in Murphysboro - 7 miles from Carbondale. Only about an hour away - we ride thru there on our way to St. Louis (125 mi.) for lunch quite often. (We're retired so the biggest decision we make every non-rainy day is what direction do we head for lunch . If you get down this way, let me know - we actually have a few nice, curvy roads that we like to ride that are short "100 mile" afternoon runs - although nothing as fun as the "alphabet" roads across the river in MO. That's good afternoon fun, too. Hopefully I'll be making a one-way "two up" ride to St. Louis late this week to pick up the :spyder: and a solo ride back home with a big smile on my face. We'll take the Bluff road home that follows the river for miles and is a really great ride, too, for any one passing this way.

I haven't been down your way since I was at the last bike blessing. Been down to Anna a few times for tractor stuff. You are correct about one thing - we both have some enjoyable roads to ride without ever having the ride the interstate. Me and the misses look forward to a future ride(s) and meeting up with you and yours. I look forward also to hearing your initial feelings once you take delivery of the Spyder in the morning. For me it was something along the line of "hell yeah, this is why I lived long enough to raise two kids and still be young enough to act like a kid!"
