There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Good playing--both videos.

I have jumped back on the "bandwagon" and playing my guitars again. I had a little dry spell where I did not do much. Amazing how much skill is lost when one does not follow the daily "practice" routine. That Bluegrass music you hear in the background sometimes may just be me.

A clip from my mentor and teacher of one of the songs that I enjoy playing. They liked it in church too. Some nice "hot stuff" shown by clicking on any of the additional videos shown at the very end of the clip. Yes, I play that also.

Not many can beat Chet and his unique "fingerstyle" method.

Ann,
It may not be the style of music that I listen to...

...But both of your guys can get it DONE! :2thumbs: :firstplace:

A very good friend of mine....

Don't forget the original finger picker...

https://youtu.be/N8vOTKMqzw4

And the amazing part--he did it all with his thumb and index finger. (Thumb and one). He came up with many unique chords to make the system work, and they were a "pain" to learn.

Chet mostly used a "thumb and three" and used mostly the classical style chord patterns.

Both are difficult methods to learn and to get the special "sound" takes some real work. I spent a year to perfect and learn The Old Rugged Cross--Chet Style for a church special.

That is some real good stuff OJ. Thank you. :2thumbs::2thumbs:

Thanks, mate! I have a dozen or so of his CDs plus numerous recordings which I made at his gigs
in the UK.
He's a real nice guy with no ego......He regards his playing merely as something he does to earn a crust.
He still teaches guitar at his home and has many children as well as adults as pupils!

He's a great raconteur and his gigs are sprinkled with tales of how he toured the South learning techniques
from some of the greats that were still with us back then.

Here's a warts an' all excerpt from Toby's performance at Keighley Blues Club (Yorkshire) :
