• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I admit defeat - I now understand how dealers might charge $7-800.00 for a spark plug change!

I now understand how dealers might charge $7-800.00 for a spark plug change. I have well past 20 hours invested and I didn't get past the air box!!! I have started reassembly and went on to antifreeze renewal. Then I will be able to complete reassembly and move on to the brake pads, brake fluid flush, and antifreeze renewal on my wife's RT. Oh, and does anyone know where I can get a parking brake return spring? It seems I have misplaced one. I hope the rest of you are enjoying your winter maintenance as much as I am!:ROFLMAO: That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!

Even though I used to do my maintenance on my cars and trucks, I find that now I can take those same hours and work to make the money to have a professional do it. I still like the satisfaction of doing some things myself, but the hardest part can be finding someone who you can trust to actually work on your vehicles and do it right.
Good luck putting it back together. I saw you mentioned a missing spring. My problem used to be that I would get it back together and have a few extra parts left over. I have a drawer for those.

Next time, take a short spin down to sunny Tennessee where we'll do your plugs, sonic clean your injectors, and shake your hand for less than $540.00. And almost 10% of that is sales tax!

I had the dealer do the 30k service (plugs incl.) after 5+ years of never being back since purchase. I'm 79 and I do all the regular maintenance and tires but saw the plugs as a challenge I didn't want to attempt. I paid $1000 for the service ($250 parts, $720 labor). So, I rationalized that as a $200/yr old-guy tax. If I'm still here in 5 yrs, I'll gladly pay again.

It is a tough one! The whole thing is a series of taking off an unrelated component to get the piece you need off of the machine then rinse and repeat... I have done it once and that is enough for me!
