• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a 2011 RS SE5 can anyone tell me how to pull the codes up. I had my engine light come on today, It said to check Transmission. I checked the oil and added some oil and it went out but it came on later. I was just wondering how to fine the code # if there is any so I can tell them when it goes to the shop. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

This is how I check for codes on my 08 GS/RS....
1- turn the ignition switch on and start bike
2-press the Mode button repeately until engine hours (total hours) shows on the display
3-Press and hold the Mode button while pushing the "flash high beams" button on the right handgrip 5 (five) times within 2 (two) seconds!!!
4-If no active faults- NO AFC will display
5-If an AFC is present, an AlfaNumeric code will display
6-If more than 1 (one)- press mode button to cycle through.

If you have a service manual you can check in there, or you can post on SL and the :spyder2: guru's will chime in and help out.

Hope this helps...

thanks I will give it a try

Just a reminder that you don't have to tell the dealer. He will pull up the fault coses with BUDS, right away. In addition, he can pull up the previously occurred faults, where you can only see the active code(s).
