• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm sure some of you seen my wife's RT for sale here.

I listed it for $19K based on ads I saw in Cycle Trader.Prices ranged from about 18-23k.
It's also been on CL for 3-4 weeks with only one responce.

So how much lower do I need to lower the price?

Is it price, or lack of interest in your area?

Right place, right time, right person.

Lower

I bought mine new in May 2014 for $18,495. Ooops didn't see that you had the LTD, but anyway.

My 2011 RTSE5 traded in at 17500 and sold again for 19000 and I had close to 7500 in extras that went with it. The market was flooded with trades after the 14's came out so prices have been soft for use models. You will need to be closer to $18K, possibly 17K right now if you want to move it. Try other venues to advertise as well such as Craig's list or the likes.

My 2012 RT A&C with 800 miles on it was 15k, I know the LTD is a much higher line model but....my friend wanted to sell it fast and he priced it at what he owed. Dealer wouldn't give him that much...he tried. With the low pricing on the 2013's, I think a 2011 is just a tough market.

According to my local multi brand dealer, and BMW dealer, bikes are not moving at all - it is a very slow year. It will sell, it may take much longer than you like.

Well we had an offer for $16500.We countered with $17 and they said no.

Looked up the 2011 RT LTD and it showed 15,600 for trade in and around 20,000 for retail. So it looks like you are in a ballpark area there. Surprised he did not go for the $17K. It looks like they were offering trade plus $1K. Not great--but ballpark.

Usually when I go to buy private I want to get in close to trade. If someone is looking at trade value, but doesn't want to trade, my thought is 'look, the dealer is at most going to buy this from you for 15,6, likely less, I'll give 1k more than the dealer and everyone is happy'.

All depends on the seller, if they have too much in and can wait for their price, I don't ride away with a new toy.

Waiting on a shipper to bring me another Waterbuffalo today, got a Jeep last week, I do 15 - 20 car/bike deals a year....way down from the old days :)
