• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How hard is it to remove the plastic shroud surrounding the gauge cluster/head light/windshield assembly? I am interested in pulling it to have it painted.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I did it

I did it when I put my foglights on. You have to remove some panels around it, then the computer cluster is very easy to remove. I believe I had to remove the trunk first though. It is just time consuming, not all that hard.

It's actually pretty easy...have to do it with some of the ESI light modifications...you can also take out the gauge cluster and open it to clean inside...sure, it's supposed to be air-tight, but if you ride in the rain, it does get moisture inside...leaves those 'snail trail' marks...does have to be cleaned from time to time. Use a screwdriver to get the gauge cluster out...slide it in two slots right back where the windshield is...this will effectively pop out the cluster...from there, disconnect and you can do what you want...as far as the panels around the area, they're not to bad to get off either, if I recall properly....take the windshield off as that will better expose everything for you...
