• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How do you add map marker?

How do you add a pin to the Spyderlovers map? Every time I try I get green markers dropped whenever I use the cursor to pan and zoom the map. I can add text to the box but the save link does nothing. Above the map it says right click to drop a pin but right click does nothing. What's the secret?

How about a sticky about how to do it on the map discussions page?

Yea, there are a few issues with this map program, as there isnt much out there in terms of program already created for vb 4 that are updated & functional. This is about the best i could find based on what was asked for.

1. You can only move a pin when you first create it aka while the dialog box is still showing.

2. It appears somehow people are some how causing multiple posts to appear in the forum, not sure how as i cant reproduce the issue, i assume because they arent finishing the pin & some how creating multiple pin locations?

3. You cant edit or remove a pin currently if youre not staff due to permission issues, still working on that issue & it really makes no sense as to why the coder created perms the way he did for groups.

4. Yea zooming in to drop a pin is also an issue, but this is due to to googles api.

Do this, right click & drop a new pin, while the dialog box is still open, increase the map zoom by clicking the +, then drag the pin to where you want it, continually zooming in as you go & move the pin.

Probably worth reading his post down at post #23 as well. ;)

Help any?? :dontknow:

Well, I finally got a pin on the map but there are two extraneous one also. The one on Parma is the correct one. Delete the others. Every time I pan the map a new pin gets created when I release the left mouse button.

There are three messages for my pin. I can't open any of them. Don't know which is the right one! I'll clear the FF cache and reopen it to see if something is hung up in FF.
