• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

For those that like to put the air horns in I am sure you will like the room on the 2014 RTs.

Question: When you mount the Wolo... Are you going to just use the existing wiring, or will you install the full relay and wiring all the way to the battery?:dontknow:

Bob, you can use the existing wiring, but the existing wiring can not deliver the amps that the Wolo demands to produce the full 118 db; so it won't be as loud. To make the Wolo sound at a full 118 db, you need to run a heavy gauge wire straight to the battery and use the included relay.

Stebel is a bit louder at around 134 db, but it is also almost double the money. You can get a Wolo for $28.63 on Amazon; making it the biggest bag for the buck. I just placed my order for one.

What would your recommend for a non-air horn direct replacement ?

Stebel and Wolo are both air horns, but are very small, not like the traditional air horns that have a separate compressor and individual trumpets. This being said, they are perfect for a bike application. Since these two horns are so great and affordable, I haven't had any long term experiance with electromechanical horns. I have used them short term, but never heard one loud enough to my liking, so I always ended up getting either a Stebel or Wolo.

I just completed the Wolo install tonight. As always, it is a major improvement over stock. I always forget Wolo puts that stupid cartoon label on the horn that takes forever to get it off (took me about 20 minutes to get it off with no residue). If I had remembered that before I purchased it, it would have been worth the extra money to just go ahead and spend the extra money on the Stebel. Does this company really think that the majority of people buying their horn, really want a label on it that looks like something that is designed to capture the attention of an 11 year old?

Wolo, just leave the label off! :banghead:

Do you know if there's room under the bodywork for both horns, or do you have to pick which tone one that you want?

On mine the bracket that held the OEM horn was actually 2 brackets together I separated them and put both horns side by side (with a little bending) and spliced a connector to the line in between them. Just keep them pointed down to ensure nothing goes in side. There was More than enough room and it looks like the '14 has even more.
