• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HOMELESS FORMER MARINE

This really struck me. A former Marine, 51 years old who has been living on the streets for 10 years, who has an amazing talent. So terrible the way our country treats its Veterans. So much sacrifice by them, so little by the VA and our lawmakers.

If the government were to help the veterans and for that matter any American citizen the way they should help
They would have to cut back on the money lining the politician's pockets

I'd love to hear him play that on a concert grand! Our MoD & government
soon wash their hands of ex-servicemen......

You should all know this: We are going to spend (OUTLAYS) over $160 Billion on VA benefits in fiscal year 2015.

Go to https://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/budget/Historicals and look at Table 3.1.

And our spending levels (OUTLAYS) are projected by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to go over $200 Billion by 2020. There are enough programs to help out all vets (I am a retired AF officer but not under any VA program) - if they need it. So I don't think the Federal Government has forgotten about the service members.

If you want to be scared, look at the trend of all our Human Resource programs by 2020, then you will understand what all the tea party stuff is all about. If you adjust for inflation we are on pace to spend 2 times more than the total commitment on WWII (~ $1.5 Tillion vs. $3.4 Tillion). And if you want to get depressed, look at Table 1.2 (RECEIPTS). Personal taxes will go up to generate the funds to pay for the runnaway Human Resource programs.

I agree. I used my VA benefits for work, education, health, buying a house, and so on. The VA benefits due each service person now is probably more than I had coming when I got out.

Maybe he likes the way he lives, where he answers to no one. I do think he is talented.

As an Ex-Marine I dislike seeing any Marine or any other service man/women in that situation. Some are to proud to ask for help & some just don't know how. Just looking at a short video does not explain what steps led up to him being where he is. May not be caused from being in the service at all. All of our comments are without the knowledge of the road he traveled, including my comments.
