• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Great video, looks like you guys were having TOO MUCH FUN. Thanks:yes:

Considering that several owners have had their fenders come loose, or even come off, I would stay far away from this option. The fender brackets crack readily enough already without 40 pounds of tongue weight hung on the rear end.

:agree: even with the seller providing stronger brackets for the fender I too would stay away from it, but I bet BRP will love the increase in fender sales with that hitch.

I agree but I put it out there because it is ---- well out there. I have seen ads for this hitch very recently but I don't know how long it's been available. If anyone wanted to be a guinea pig and try it out, the rest of us can start a pool betting how long it will last.

Hitch on 09 GS SE5

I've been away for a while, but am now back checking the site. I've toyed with the idea of a trailer for my 09 SE5:f_spider: GS, but haven't saved the coins or decided which way to go.

I haven't been able to locate that blueknight 911 video :hun:.

Checking an earlier thread on hitches, I noticed someone mentioned that BRP doesn't recommend trailers with the GS/RS model. I find that amusing, as when I bought my GS, before there was an RT, the hitch was listed in the BRP catalog as an accessory for the RS.

I know they did some work with the electronics to provide a trailer option, but a boat load of cycles pull trailers without incident every day.

it's pretty easy to make your own.i made three of them for just over $70. I got some 10gauge steel bent into a c channel that fit over the swing arm marked and drilled where the axle went through.then i bent some 3x1/2 flat bar for the tongue and welded on the pate for the trailer ball.i made my trailer from a old jet ski trailer and have about a $150 into it.I got the box for the trailer from lowe's.i bought one with wheels so when i get to where i'm going the box comes off and i wheel all my stuff up to my room.no unpacking.
