• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

High beam lamp - how do you access it? What bulb to use? 2014 RSS

How do you access the high beam lamp on the projector headlamp? Low beam is obvious. Low beam is H7; what is the high beam bulb?

I bought a 2014 RSS used. I rode at night for the first time, and the lighting was terrible. It appears the owner installed these LED low beam lamps, and they are terrible. I replaced them with a pair of quality H7 LEDs, and the improvement is remarkable. But the high beams are almost nonexistent.

The service manual wiring diagram has this high beam bulb graphic, but I don't know what it means. The manual text does not address this at all.

Hi and lo beam are the same bulb. Low beam is activated by a shutter, hi beam raises the shutter.

Thanks. I guess the graphic is that of a solenoid. I will check headlight aim. I'm also installing a pair of Denali aux lights.

Good move on the Denali lights .... I have a pair of D-2's that I got for $ 100.00 ( +/- ) and they light up the night .....Mike
