• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi, new member here...

Hello, thank you for letting me join. Bought my Spyder SE5, new, in 2014. About 31,000 miles on it now. Commuting to and from work mostly. Longest I've ever owned a motorcycle without joining a forum. This is called Spyder Lovers, but my relationship is sometimes a love/hate with it. It never reacts to winters very well when it sits without getting started daily. It quickly gets stubborn and hard to start. It's cloudy and 32° F right now and I've ridden in colder, but I just has eye surgery so I can't.

Initially thought I would search your posts for a specific problem engine code and decided to sign up.

The current code that creeped across its dash was a "Fault 55" ?? or maybe Fault 0055? Crept across only once and it won't come back. Might be a "Heater Resistance Bank1 Sensor 3" ?? What? What heater? Anyway, it just clicks today and won't start.

So, hi there and any input would be welcome.

Scott

Welcome to the forum Scott9084. I hope you enjoy it. You can find lots of good information here on the different models of Spyders and Rykers in the different areas of the forum. Make sure and post a photo of your Spyder in the Spyder Garage area of the forum when you area able to. So you did not say what model Spyder you have or year. that info always helps when posting. Spyder codes have a letter and 4 numbers for most codes like P0055 or a U0055 etc. Most probably the battery is low and needs to be charged or is just gone bad. Batties don't last long in Spyders that live in cold weather unless they are on a battery tender when the Spyder is not in use. You will be able to post your question on the main area of the forum when you see you name turn blue. That will mean they have finished processing you in the forum. You will be able to use the search function and post in all areas of the forum at that point also see any photos and videos too. I hope to see you around the forum soon. :2thumbs:
