• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

All the new members or old avatar-less people who still have a circle with a letter of the alphabet inside, just like hundreds of other members, can get free avatars. The Internet is full of them. Most are free, and if you put the size in the search engine, they will be pre-sized to fit. A lot of the places will just let you right click and save them. You shouldn't need to give them your personal information. Right click the image you want and choose, "save as" . That image will be saved in your computers downloads file. There is millions of free 100x100 avatars all over the web. All you gotta do is reach out and grab one.

If you have the software and the skill to make one, then go for it. If you don't have the time or the software, plenty of free ones floating around you can "Borrow".

There are certainly many to choose from, only if you're selecting your first &/or a new avatar, just don't forget that just like everything else on the Forums, all avatars need to be 'clean' - anything that doesn't fit the 'Safe for Work, Kids, and Grandma' test will be removed without notice. ;)
