• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Hey you guys! My 2012 RT just turned 3000 miles. Do I take to dealer now for next service and get new oil filter and panel (I have coupon)?? Then the service is every 4600 miles. Is this correct?
Thanks in advance Can always count on my spyderlovers!

My guess would be that since you are on the 4600 mile service schedule you would not have to do the 3000, but wait until 4600 miles. I would check with dealer. In California we are still on the old 3000 mile service schedule, and don't get the new schedule.

Not to hi-jack your thread, but I have a question close to this. Maybe both can be answered at the same time. I was thinking of my up-coming 600 mile service. After I have the 600 mile service done do I wait until 3600 miles, or still do the next service at 3000 (going with the 3000 mile interval)?

That should be correct. You need the new filter installed before you can switch to 4600 mile intervals.

I plan on changing my oil at 3k, get the new filters and panels installed and then use 5k intervals for oil chanages. Do you think extending oil changes to 5k will be ok? Comments. Dale

I do, but your dealer is the right one to make that call. He's the one that has to be satisfied for warranty issues.

Only you can be the judge of how long to go by extending service. If all you do is ride and normal speeds in a suburban environment in moderate temps its ideal to extend. If you live in Death Valley and run speed runs I'd do my service early.

:agree: Where and how you ride should be the determining factor regarding servicing schedules. If you're going to stretch it to 5000 miles between servicing; I'd keep a bit closer eye on the oil levels...
