• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help with engine check light

I purchased a 2012 RT SE5 with 2500 miles. Since the weather here has improved from our ugly winter, I have had it out a few times. I put maybe 150 miles on it. Then I decided to get the oil and filter changed for the riding season. I was on my way to the dealer when an engine check light came on. The RT continued to run just fine. Unfortunately, my dealer lost their only technician to hospitalization, so no one could determine what the code or issue is.

I searched for how to find the code and saw a video by Lamonster, where you hold both the MODE and SET switches, and then push the turn signal switch. When I did, I got a grey blank screen......no code number. So, did I do it correctly? Does it mean there is no error? Is there a way to reset the engine cheek light?? Does anyone have a list of the codes??

Also, I am very disappointed with the fuel MPG. I find I am getting 25-27mpg....ugh! It does have a Two Brothers muffler and a Juice Box. Anyone familiar with the Two Brothers setup.

Thanks

You performed the Code-Pulling sequence correctly...
Nothing showed, because there was no active error occuring when you checked.
ALL codes get stored in the system, and a hookup to BUDS will find them.
The changes to your bike may very-well be why your fuel mileage isn't what you expected.
The juice box is enrichening the mixture in order to prevent a too-lean condition being caused by the exhaust.
It seems that most folks can squeeze out about 30 mpg.

:agree: x 2

Little checking..!!

Don't know when the last time you checked your oil was but in some cases you can add oil and it clears up. If it were oil pressure you would have other problems. As to mileage to many variables. You have to watch it and how you ryde.these are high rpm engines so keep up above 4,000 and mileage will improve. Congrats and enjoy the season...
