• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Help! Spyder in Limp mode after Juice box install

Well crap.
Got the 2 bro's juice box last night, installed it today, (pretty easy install, can't really connect anything wrong) and after starting up again, I get the limp mode error readings. The 2 scrolling error message that proceed that limp mode error are ABS and EBD I think the other was, then to Limp Mode. The bike starts fine, sounds fine, the juice box does not give me any errors and in fact shows the correct mode lights.

Here is what I did while install, maybe someone can tell me what needs to be done??
Disconnected the 40A wire harness from that fuse (rather than unplug the battery), took off the o2 modifier, put on the stock o2 sensor, then installed the juicebox, then plugged the 40a wire back in and started the bike.
I called 2 bro's about this and they said its not the juicebox and to remove and reinstall as it was before the issue. I did that, waited the 20 minutes for a reset, and still have the limp mode. Am I screwed now or can anyone help??

Did you plug the JB into the bike's wiring harness under the rear seat? An open O2 circuit would give you an error.

Yes, I unplugged the o2 modier from the harness and plugged in the juicebox into the harness. There is/was no unplugged wires left over.

Note: I took the bike for a short test ride, did not encounter any steering or brake problems, still shows the check dps and other error messages.

Disconnect your battery and let it sit for 30 minutes and see if that clears it. You should always disconnect the battery when doing work on the brains - and it forces a reset of the ECU --- at least that's what I was told when I put my O2 mod in.

Hey Firefly,
I probably should have done that from the get go, I just simply pulled the 40a connecter thinking it would suffice. I did go ahead and pull the neg terminal and left it off for over an hour, but did not fix the issue.

However!!
Weirdest thing happened, and I think my spydie knew it or something, but I called Barneys of Brandon, in Florida and talked to their service guy named Pat over there, told him what mod I just did and the issues I am now having. He said bring it right in, and if he can't find a tech to work on it today, he would do it himself...wow!
He said all they have to do is reset the codes, no biggie.
Any spyder people near Brandon Florida, go there for service, they rock.

Anyways, when I went back to the garage to start the bike and take it to Barneys, its problem free now, no error codes, nothing.

Now, I will take it out, (with my tools, lol) for a longer test spin to see if the surging has finally been corrected and what kind of performance I am getting.

the only tough time i had was connecting to the fuel injectors it was alittle tight,i did not disconnect the battery was it me or did i miss that part of the directions? got it all hooked up and fired it up just like the said went through the tuning process and all i can say is WOW!!!!! the best bang for the buck. hope you get all the bugs if any worked out!:2excited::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

Took it for a 3 hour tour, down to the beach, with the wife on board, had a blast.
bike is finally running sweet! Had zero surging. Hopefully it will stay that way, Juicebox is a hit in my book.

PS...the directions do not indicate to disconnect the battery, but since I was changing out the o2 modifier to the original o2 sensor I pulled the 40a connector so that the computer would reset, maybe this is what caused it to be all buggy for a while, but all is good now.
