• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HELP!!! New foglights on Miss Daisy but...

Well, had the day off and went thru the "BRP Fog Lights install Lamonster style" exercise. HOWEVER, have all back together and now, NO HEADLIGHTS OR FOG LIGHTS.:yikes:

Tried backing out to original harness, now have no headlights at all. GS starts up fine, console seems to be working fine, just no headlights. I have already pulled the 30A Maxi Fuse and replaced it on suspicion. Maybe the Headlamp relay? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

BTW, only have garden tractor for pulling head out. May have to rent something bigger.

????? On the RT, the foglights and headlights are fed off different circuits and relays. Sounds more like you got your wiring crossed. That might have blown a relay, fuse or switch, however.

I believe 'Miss Daisy' is a yellow '08 GS PE.

Keith, I've put the 2008-2009 Spyder GS SM5/SE5 Shop Manual in the RT trunk & will have it to you tomorrow morning.

Wake up call (aka: a bigger tractor)

Received a call from Doc - Riverside. Suggested printing out the schematics and tracing things out. Sheesh, having been in telecommunications for over 30 years, one would have thought I would have known to do this. Just been too long since I played with the silly things. Have 24 pages of a puzzle laid out on dining room table and putting things together now.

Thanks Doc for wakeup call.:2thumbs:

Are you not getting power to the headlights? I'm sure you've checked all the plugs. You could swap relays with the fan relay and see if they power up. Other than that I would have to see it to be of any help. :dontknow:

Mark: I have the PDF manual. "believe 'Miss Daisy' is a yellow '08 GS PE." that is correct.

Lamont: Thanks for the suggestion, will try that.

A Thousand Thank yous!

And once again, the Lamonster comes to the rescue.:bowdown::bowdown:

Per Lamont's suggestion, I swapped the fan and headlight relays. Badabing-badaboom! Yausa! Magic from 200 miles (or wherever he may be today).

Thanks Lamont. Off to the parts shop for new relay.
