• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Help needed with right-side switch cluster for '14 RT-L

My sister sent me a message this morning. Her Butler cup swung a little too fast, a little too hard, smacked into the cruise control switch. From the picture she sent me and what her husband described, the 'rails' inside the housing that the switch slides in might be broken.

I know the usual solution is to replace the entire housing, but 1) it's very expensive and 2) there is a LONG backlog on parts.

Does anybody here have one sitting on a shelf? Or do you possibly know of a CanAm salvage yard that might have one?

Thanks, Jay, that's what we have found so far. We were hoping there might be some leads on a salvage yard, too.

Do the same thing I would have to do to give you any suggestions, a Google search for motorcycle salvage. Check eBay also. Lots of parts on there.

I did an eBay search yesterday and came up with zilch. IMO, the most important mandatory characteristic of the Housing Switch is 100% reliability. Yes, one might find a replacement from a salvage yard but what are the odds of doing so and at what price, both in terms of the item itself and the dollar value of the time to replace? Unfortunately the OP's sister's problem is one we all face once our warranty runs out; ergo, my comment about the bullet.

There was a recent post from someone with a wrecked Spyder that he was 'parting out'.

Maybe someone else can find that thread because I've been unable to...
