• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

helmets

Tough one..!!

kinda like seats...nowhere to get a loner in each brand to go out and test...:banghead::banghead: maybe the ear plugs are an easy way out... We have HJC modular that are not the ones so will watch this thread...:spyder:

 This is about like asking the folks in a football stadium:
"What should I have for a snack after the game?"
Everybody will point you in their own favorite direction without regard for your unique circumstances.
Get yourself the best helmet, that fits you properly, and that should be a step in the right direction!

I agree Bob
After research after posting.Think I will try earplugs

Cheaper then 500.00 for a helmet

If you google your question you'll find a couple of research results, so based on aerodynamics and acoustics the two quietest helmets on the market are: Schubert and Shoei RF-1200.

I have a Shoei-RF1100 and my next helmet will be the 1200. I like the schuberts but not the modular design.

Now, the most important aspect is to also make sure the fit is correct, each brand is slightly different on your noggin!
