• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Helmets Anyone?

I've been a helmet enthusiast for many years. Primarily driven by 2 things.

1- I love to ride
2- My years in the fire service going to motorcycle accidents

There is so much that the average rider does not know about their helmet. Comfort and features are important, of course. But safety is really what a helmet is all about. Otherwise, a good set of goggles would suffice. (and for some, it does).

Here is a video that I've stumbled upon. Very interesting to a person like me. Especially the short portion at the end dealing with DOT, Snell, and ECE safety standards.

His verbiage descends into the crude, at times. Unfortunately, a norm in our day. But his information is very good.

Yeah. That's Fort Nine. Sometimes, his reviews are pretty good but he's kind of a, um, male member.

Hi Ron:
I take my head health seriously. Here is another video from Aria helmets about how to properly fit a helmet. Very informative.

When I first saw this video on here a few months back, I had to laugh with what you call a crude language. Not that it's too crude, but looking at him, he seems like some clean cut Joe. So, it became even funnier. All good info.
