I've been a helmet enthusiast for many years. Primarily driven by 2 things.
1- I love to ride
2- My years in the fire service going to motorcycle accidents
There is so much that the average rider does not know about their helmet. Comfort and features are important, of course. But safety is really what a helmet is all about. Otherwise, a good set of goggles would suffice. (and for some, it does).
Here is a video that I've stumbled upon. Very interesting to a person like me. Especially the short portion at the end dealing with DOT, Snell, and ECE safety standards.
His verbiage descends into the crude, at times. Unfortunately, a norm in our day. But his information is very good.
