• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi

My name is Mark and new to the site and my F3s in black and chrome is shipping on Tuesday. I have ridden on and off for 35 years and this is my first spyder. My last two wheeler was a Wing and it was the best bike I have ever had. I suffered a sever back injury and holding it up was just to much.

i then moved on to a Boss Hoss trike, what a ride. Again the solid rear axle and mounting and dismounting made it painful to ride. I had tried the other spyders in the past but I am 6-2 and a big guy so the seating position was no good for me. I tried the F3s and fell in love as it fit perfectly

i am only a little concerned about the spring weight on the rear shock.. I am about 325 and the stock shock feels ok but I don't know if the fox that Can Am sells would be any better. Are there other options for the rear shock, a stronger spring?

one thing I wanted to ask is what's up with the prices of their OEM add-on's ? 500.00 for a set of floorboards? Really?

i did add the grip heaters and the 66 windshield but I read here they are not available.. The others seem to short to make a difference.. Are there any options?

Elka has made shocks for the other models, I would be surprised if they did not make them for the F3. BRP is pretty proud of their options and the price reflects that. :yikes:

:welcome: and :congrats: on your new ride.

Yes, ouch on the accessory prices. It is pretty much that way with most brands. Newest and greatest always command the highest prices for accessories--because they can.

Some other windshield options: #1: Madstad - comes with lots of adjustability; #2 F4. Neither are cheap, but they are no more expensive than BRPs versions.
