• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I could have sworn that I posted this last night :dontknow: but I couldn't find it today, so here goes again.
Some of you will remember when I posted about my passenger foot peg extensions, that my good friend Phil ([email protected]) made for me. http://www.spydertalk.com/forums/index.php...mp;hl=passenger Phil has since made up several sets and sold some of them to forum members.
My wife and I have done a lot of miles since then and her comfort is greatly improved. We took a trip over the Valentines Day weekend and had what today is referred to as an issue. If you look below you will see that she melted the heel of her right boot to the muffler due to the different position of the extended foot pegs. We stopped for gas and I see smoke coming up from the side of the bike. I go around to see that smoke is just pouring off the exhaust pipe where her heel had sat and melted. Then I notice that there is also smoke coming up from her foot as her heel was still burning. :yikes: It is hard to believe, but her foot was not burned at all.
This Saturday I did my 9 thousand mile service and Sunday I headed over to Phil's for a solution to prevent any further burned foot wear. Pictured below is the stainless steel plate that Phil fabbed up and attached to the right foot peg bracket. This will become an option for those of you who have or will get passenger pegs from Phil.
