• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Heat Issue RTS SE5 2010

I have a Autocom Superpro unit installed under my seat and it gets extremely hot. I was listening to my Ipod through my helmet speakers and after 2 hours riding the sound started to distort as if there was way too much base. Just wondering if anybody had experienced a similar problem. The main frame stay under the seat was almost too hot to touch and I'm concerned that the heat may damage the Autocom unit.

I'm not sure where yours is located. I have had similar Starcom1 units in the nook under the glovebox (actually beneath the frame) and beside the frame in the rear, near the positive battery jumper. I did have occasional problems with the one near the glovebox...possibly heat related, and I definitely had periodic interference issues with the proximity of the wiring running to the Starcom1 to the ignition wires. I have had no issues with the one in the rear, and I'm not sure how hot it gets. I'd look at your mounting position. If the Autocom is mounted to the frame, you may want to try it elsewhere. In general, the heat under the seat is probably acceptable, but location, the quirks of individual units, and local weather conditions may be a source of difficulty.
