• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Headlights upgrade, NOT working now----

So i decided to upgrade to LED lights 2009 SM5 Spyder as the original ones are not very bright..

Looked easy enough, put a flat head into the 2 notches in the cluster popped right out

I took the old bulbs out, put the led ones it (I had both, the ones with the fan and without)

I did the LED without the fans first since I couldnt get those to sit in properly (I probably will return those)

After I got them into the socket (nice pain there), I get nothing, I tried the old bulbs and nothing..

Checked fuses?.. and the relay, i switched out the other relay with the headlight relay but no dice, norhing

Ugh, what did I do...thought simple job is now a headache

Try turning the bulb around 180* and see if it then works. On my 2018, I put in LED and one worked, the other did not. BUMMER. Took it out and while not even thinking of it while handling it. Put it back in and was working. Thought about it and I realized I turned it 180* around without knowing it and popped it back in.

I doubt its that considering I put the old ones back in, even if one was backwards, the probability if doing all the bulbs (new and old) the wrong way is pretty low percentage

ITs not even clicking with high=low beams

I got new relays this morning, my brother is taking a look at it this afternoon... Probably the relay like the dealership said

A bare wire was hanging also, so maybe that did the short... I put electrical tape on there now to prevent it from happening again (i hope_

Update: Fuse in the back panel 30V was bad, didn't even know one was back there, would have made sense to put it in the MFB with the relay..

All is well with the world, and yes I did chip a wire or two trying to get it into the socket, was replaced and now its fine

Strange even the dealership didn't mention the "fuse", just the relay, picked up some spare anyway...
