• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A different take on HD logo on stuff!

Hi folks, I was reading the post where the guy bought a helmet with the HD logo on it, then bought a Spyder and then another helmet without the HD logo.
I have another take on it.
I bought a very nice enclosed trailer that has small HD logos on both sides, front and rear.
I tell my friends that I keep the logos on there for one reason.
If folks think it's a Spyder in it, it might get stolen. Nobody would steal a Harley! Lol
Let the flaming begin!

Rode Harleys all my life... until someone cut me off on my Ultra in Deadwood. Wife put me on 3 wheels, Spyders, and she said if it happens again, I'll be riding a golf cart. Surgery in Spearfish SD with a surgeon good at putting bikers back together! Small hospital with a great surgeon... Dr. Little.

Have never owned a HD, but I have a rain suit - with their logo all the way across the back - that works marvelously. Used it a couple times while riding my Honda CTX1300, and stays in the frunk of the F3-S for future use.

Yeah, I was the guy who bought an HD branded helmet to take the MSF Basic Rider Course.
The main reason I bought the HD helmet is that it was listed as the best for someone who wears glasses. It has slits built into the padding at your temples for the stems of the glasses to fit into. And it's a lovely gray color, too. And it is a modular helmet, which I like.

When I bought my 2024 Spyder RT Sea2Sky, I decided I wanted a helmet that was white, to go with my white Spyder.
What I found online was that the HD helmets were made by HJC.
So, after a bit of web surfing, I found and bought a white HJC C91 modular helmet.

However, after a long 10 hour ride with the HJC helmet, I found that it doesn't fit very well, and I will probably be replacing it.

But thanks for reminding me of the HD helmet that is gathering dust in my closet, as now, instead of rushing to buy a new helmet, I'm going to pull it out and try it again.

Yep, I've still got my HD rain suit and the boot covers to go with it. I only wore it once on the Spyder, and it was raining so hard I don't think anyone could see it. It was one of those rain storms where you find a taillight, just stick with it, and hope it stays on the road.

You gotta give it to them. Some of their riding gear (FXRG) is up there with the best. But so are the $$ prices! Can Am $$ is no better.

Not a logo guy... I've removed most of the BRP logos from the Spyder. I don't purchase clothes of any kind with logos. The one sticker on my car is an American flag. I just don't see why I should advertise for some company.

... Have you ever noticed that the folks in the gear and apparel department are almost always of the younger female persuasion?

Yeah, ain't that the truth? What do you think they're really looking for?

I don't see that it makes any difference. I used the tail trunk left over from my BMW GS on my Canyon. The trunk has a big embossed BMW on it but looks like it belongs on the Canyon. BMW/BRP roundell/cog - whatever. Besides, I know several riders who have several different brands of bikes, they just mix and match gear.
