• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Have you painted your Spyder?

I'm just courious to see how many spyder lovers have painted their spyder and how it came out. Mine is still roadster red, but that will probably change. :nopic: if you've got one.

Thanks for playing,

You know quackerz, that roadster red is pretty sharp. You might want to consider just adding some graphics rather than a whole repaint job. Of course, it is your spyder and who am I to talk, I changed completely from silver to Candy Apple Red....LOL By the way, I love it and it turned out very well. I took all the panels off myself and took them to the painter. Saved in overall labor costs.

I love the millennium yellow...won't paint it...I like the visibility of being a bumblebee on the road...

I'm different in so many ways that I don't need my bike to be! :D

Will never paint it. Also very happy with the yellow for the same reason. Have pin striped it though.

I've painted mine- 3 times. The dealer first had it painted BRP red before that option was available. Did a flame job next that Spydergirl now rocks. Finally, did the total repaint you can see in my sig.

I just wanted to be able to find my :spyder: in a parking lot full of other :spyder:s. :)

When I'm in a parking lot full of Spyders, I'll know it's time to get a different bike...:(

I didn't have any great ideas for paint, so I went to a hot rod shop and asked for ideas. I knew I wanted to go with blue and dark grey or black, so the owner of the shop gave me some suggestions. I think they did a great job. They allowed me to bring in all the pieces of the Spyder already removed to save a little money. I love the way my Spyder turned out. He added a personal touch by hand pinstriping the color breaks.

:agree: the roadster red is a cool color and stands out. But if I do paint my spyder I'm probably going to go with a metallic deep red, blue or even green, something deep and shiny. Of course there is always my husbands' idea of painting spydie with a realtree pattern with ducks in it. SSG Bean I do love that blue you went with and dl the candy apple with the art is striking.

My yellow stands out, and yes I have been called a BumbleBee also. I am looking into pinstripping mine. Not many designs to choose from, having a hard time finding the right one for myself. Good luck in making your decision. :spyder2:
