• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hauling Your Spyder While Pulling a Camper

I have a question.

Currently I have an older Class A motor home and I put the Spyder inside an enclosed trailer. The boss and I are thinking about upgrading to a tow behind camper (tongue hitch) and I am having problems finding what she wants with the existing toy haulers. I can find everything she wants without the garage.

How do you haul your :spyder2: when pulling a camper? Pictures would be great.

The way I saw this is the Boss wanted a bathroom (but she needed a shower that had more than 6gal ) to take a shower. She wanted a bed room because It needed to be completely black (no light)
I needed to bring the:spyder2: and because of my Truck had to be Tongue Hitch. We found a Salem 30' no slide outs But sort of OK . We had to compromise. and the garage is an extra room when we are camped

A slide out is a must in her book (and really mine as well) because we have 2 Shar Pei's as well and with all 4 of us, room is a plus.

2 Spyder Hauling

Have you found a trailer that will haul 2 Spyders? We would like to do some of the farther meets that would require us to trailer. Just starting to look for next year's season.

Here is my Spyder hauler. We bought it because of the Spyder. It is the most expensive farkle we've added. :roflblack:

The garage is 10'. You will need a 12' garage to get two Spyders in. One facing each way. Two in a 10' garage may be possible, but you need to be able to push (move) the Spyder sideways to make them fit.

NOTE: Backing in is not recommended! What's seen in this photo was a learning experience. :lecturef_smilie:

We also have the Voltage by Dutchmen in the 5th wheel version like Dr Buck's. ours has the 14' garage. Dutchmen makes a Voltage in a bumper hitch tow version. Dutchmen by Thor is sold at most Camping World locations. PM me if you would like more info. I have a friend that has the bumper tow unit.

Work & Play "RT" Toy Hauler...

Here is the mini "Hauler" we use for longer trips.... It doesnt have much extra space but includes all the amenities we need for a few days of camping with the Spyder. It hauls our RT just fine, and it is a snap to pull with most trucks. Easy travelin & didnt cost a bunch...

What am I missing?? Why is backing in a problem? I have hauled mine this way for thousands of mile and never had an issue. Hopefully it won't be one of those 'oh duh!' moments for me. :)

Sent from the corner of walk and don't walk....

pulling the spyder

This may well be out of your comfort zone but you can have a receiver welded to back of the camper. Then pull a double with the spyder.
