• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has the GS Spyder value gone up or am I mistaken?

Was looking on NADA and they are putting an '08 Spyder GS SM5 (with ABS breaks and performance muffler - all I can check for the check boxes for it) - low end it is 11,195, high end is 13,922. A while back I checked and I swear those numbers were lower. ?

When Debbie checked last week, I thought she found $12,500 for private sale and $9,000 for trade in. :dontknow:

I think it was 10,500 in March of '09. I remember that because I bought my '08 the day after Thanksgiving and no reference was available and had to guess on the trade-in value. It's about normal that it drops about a thou per year after the initial depreciation. Should level off a bit in a few years.

NADA is always on the high side. That's why all the assessors and car dealers uses it to value our car and tax us on it. I think KBB is more realistic when it comes to the actual value. Some times I use both numbers and take the average.

When I was talking to my insurance company last month about my Spyder catching on fire the insurance guy had told me that had it been totaled, they would've paid me $13,900. I have an 08 GS.

Value?

I think it depemds om the state and the time of year. We had a car dealer in town that would make a copy of the Blue Book price for California(in small print) and put in the window of the unit. When I checked for ILL. his price was always $2-3 thousand higher.:D
Just my experience.
