Harnes Module for hitch

Need to know if there is a difference between a 2014 & a 2011 module harness for hitch. I bought a new BRP trailer hitch on ebay but the sealer said that the harness was for a 2014 and would not work on my 2011 RTS. Not sure if this is correct. I do not have a trailer yet so the plug style does not matter at this time. Thanks, Bob

Are you sure it is a BRP hitch? Sounds like an after market hitch to me. BRP hitch and control module part #219400432 says 2014 and prior. Note: "This is the only hitch system that maintains your warranty". If you bought it on ebay I doubt if it is the real deal. You get what you pay for. BRP kit with module lists for $499.99.

2014 and older 2010-13 is different and I have a older harnes but need new one for 2015
