Handlebars Quick Question

Can someone let me know what is the diameter of the handlebars for the spyder (stock) I dont have a micrometer to measure them myself and the idea is to install a pair of clamps for the Rumble Road Ultra speakers. I have tried over the BRP site and several forums to get it but to no avail, I think they are 1 1/4 but I might be mistaken so please let me know and thanks in advance

I believe when I bought new grips for my wife's Spyder, they were 7/8".

Yes for the grips it seems that is the size but the center console it seems bigger, in one of the sides (right) I can remove a black plastic cover and expose the bar with the 7/8" but on the left one the only option is to put the clamp in top of the frame for the center console thanks for the reply

I am not good with tools yet, so maybe I am not understanding correctly the measurements, but the speakers came with a 1" clamps and they dont fit because are not big enough. So I assume they need to be bigger not smaller, is that correct, maybe I am wrong and please I am not kidding indeed I am still learning

The bar is 7/8" if you're wanting to clamp to the bar cover that's 1 7/16"

I would say so, if you need to you can slide a piece of rubber in there to take up any slack.

:agree: We used a piece of leather from a belt in the bracket to mount my wife's cup holder on her Spyder.

I created my own u-bolt by buying a single piece of straight threaded bolt and clear vinyl tubing (wanted black but they didn't have any) at the local home-repair store. I ran the tubing over the bolt and bent it to shape with my hands. I then cut the excess off with my Dremel. Worked just fine with the RAM mount for my GPS.
