There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No parts need to be removed, but you will need the right tools to reach in from underneath, in the small, tight holes. Thinwall, extra deep, 1/4-drive sockets, as I recall, but it might have been standard thinwall sockets. Be sure and stuff rags around the steering, so no screws fall into the "black hole". You might want to study up on a couple of appropriate cuss words, too.

Sorry, I wasn't paying attention to which forum this was posted in. Much more difficult for the RT, since it is not a handlebar cover, but part of the handlebar assembly. You would have to remove the bottom covers, the heated grips, the handlebars tubes, and then the handlebar itself (which you call a cover. Careful masking would be necessary to allow reassembly.
