• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone know if there is an option of hand brake for the spyder or if anyone makes or can retro-fit a hand brake on a spyder? I am despartely wanting to buy a spyder but do not have the sustained foot strength for the foot brake if I had to get on the brake hard due to being a paraplegic of 21 yrs........ I would appreciate any help! [email protected]

There is a company that is in the process of fabricating a hand brake for the spyder however they haven't told us when it will be released. They did have it on a spyder in Daytona for bike week though.

That being said there are several people who came up with alternate ways of installing a hand brake.

welcome Search the other postings on this subject here under "Shop Talk", to see what some of us have done to fabricate our own handbrake systems. That may not help you if you are looking for a "turn key" solution but you will get some background information about the task.

Hydralic Brake

I put a Hydralic Brake on Mine. I completely Bypassed the foot Brake, Took it Off, and Made it so the LPS Switch Is Still Opperable. Works Great. I put mine on the Left Side Though.
