• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Had a glitch with my tack on my 2014 RT

I don't consider it an issue, but just wanted to see if anyone else had their tach on the screen, and the tach across from the speedo get out of sinc. I did a trip to Myrtle Beach this weekend. On the quick route home, I noticed that at 74 mph, the digital tach was registering 3,750, but the needle registered 4,000 rpm. It was off about 250 rpm's throughout the ride. However, when I stopped for gas and cut the bike off, everything was reset and worked properly after that. Not too concerned, just curious.

Very observant...

imagine it does happen but folks don't notice it much. I for one seldom watch the analog style tach just because it takes longer to see where your at. Could just be a needle drag but if your back to equal your fine. If it continues or gets worse they would have to go in or change the cluster....

I've got 40,000 miles on my 2014 and I can't say that I've ever had that happen. But I also rarely look at the analog tach.

Yea, I hardly ever look at the analog gauge either, but when we were on I-95, I just happened to look down and notice the difference. I think everything is fine, and until we do another long slab run, I will probably never notice it again.

I do look at the analog tach. Use it for shifting when I am not just shifting by sound. Have not noticed any issues with the digital version registering differently. Will check it out from time to time when I am riding.

Our 2011 Did It Too

Our 2011 used to do the same thing. I don't think it was needle drag as I could goose the engine and the needle would jump no problem. I think it was in the electronics and/or software...

I have never noticed a difference, but I have the digital tach turned off most of the time. I don't know why but I prefer the analog tach and the digital speed.

Now that you mention it, I do the same thing as you (shift by the analog tach when not shifting by sound). But once I get up to speed, and into a cruising gear, I then loop primarily at the digital tach.

Analog just by it's very nature is going to be off when compared to digital.
My 2014 RT Tach also an inherent offset, but not quite as bad as you are indicating. At the 3750 you mention (happens I cruise at that rpm) my analog shows what I estimate as @3850.
But I'm sure if you "study" the situation, you will find the speedometers are different as is the gas gauges :)
